openapi provides two sets of APIs:

• The classic API (documentation English 🇬🇧) (documentation Romanian 🇷🇴)
• The new international API (beta) (documentation)

The international API offers the same information as the classic API, but in a different format:

• The classic API is closer to the original data source in terms of structure and naming.
• The international API uses standardized english names and interprets the addresses and other structures to make it more easy to extract the information of interest.

Which API is a better fit for you?

• Use the classic API if you want to work more closely to the original data source.
• Use the international API if:
  • you need a more precise interpretation of the address (street, locality, zip code)
  • you are willing to use a service still in beta
